The lower frieze depicts four quadrigae (four-horse chariots), all racing. The middle frieze shows the objects adorning the spina, the central barrier of the Circus Maximus in Rome. On the upper frieze are the names:

OLYMPAE (Olympus)
ANTILOCE (Autolycus)
CRESCES
This is a reproduction of the complete beaker from Colchester, now in the British Museum. A few smaller fragments of this beaker type are also known, including one found at Fishbourne, and another from Neuss, Germany.
