Based on a bottle from Cologne, now in the Romanisches Germanisches Museum.

The original is in greenish-colourless glass. “Blown into the form of a grotesque head with a bald pate, but with what may be a pigtail at the back; a protruding, wide twisted nose; inset, narrow eyes which are not level; raised eyebrows, a ... slightly open mouth with thick lips, ... deep folds round the corners of the mouth and three warts. ...Grotesque heads or masks of this sort belong to the repertoire of typefigures from Italic comedy. These miniatures have survived in metal, pottery, glass and wood”. (Glass of the Caesars (1987), No. 93, p.172).

Our version is blown into a two-part ceramic mould, most likely as was the Roman original, with the handles added separately.
