Post-medieval - Cylindrical Phials (CYL)

These vessels were blown at our wood-fired furnace. They all have some attack from the furnace atmosphere on their outer surfaces - some more so than others. It usually shows as a dulling and milkiness on the surface. See this page for a short discussion on this phenomenon. Please look at the large photos by clicking on the thumbnail photos, although the effect is not always noticeable on them.

Bottles 0001 - 0012 have a very slight milky bloom on their outer surface.
